LANE SNOVER OF LYNNFIELD LIGHTS UP THE STAGE IN BOSTON CHILDREN'S THEATRE'S PRODUCTION OF 'THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE'

The roaring 20’s come to life in Boston Children’s Theatre (BCT) exuberant production of THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE! Featuring the talents of 18-year old Lane Snover of Lynnfield, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE runs August 6 – 9 at Shore Country Day School in Beverly, MA.

Cast in the role of nightclub singer ‘Muzzy Van Hossmere,’ Lane is making her BCT debut. No stranger to the stage, Lane has been seen in Lynnfield Community Schools productions of The Wizard of Oz, Children of Eden, Tarzan: The Musical, and Annie. With Act Theater Company, she has appeared in Young Frankenstein and Les Miserables, and with Destination Imagination, she has been seen in Laugh Art Loud, In Disguise, Solar Stage and ViDio Lit Hits. Having appeared in numerous Lynnfield public school productions, Lane will be entering the University of New Hampshire in the fall.

Based on the zany new musical that took Broadway by storm, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE is a high-spirited musical romp that will have audiences dancing the Charleston in the aisles! Based in New York City in 1922, young Millie Dillmount has just moved to the big city in search of a new life for herself. It’s a New York full of intrigue and jazz – in a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever. Directed by Rory Pelsue, with choreography by Nicole Soriano and Musical Direction by Justin Brown, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE has a book by Richard Henry Morris and Dick Scanlan, new music by Jeanine Tesori, and new lyrics by Dick Scanlan.

Performances of THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE are Thursday, August 6 at 7:30 pm, Saturday, August 8 at 8 pm and Sunday, August 9 at 2 pm.
