Lynnfield Democrats Elect Delegates

The Lynnfield Democratic Town Committee held its annual caucus on February 3rd, 2018, at the Lynnfield Town Hall.

LYNNFIELD DEMOCRATS ELECT DELEGATES TO STATE CONVENTION

The Lynnfield Democratic Town Committee held its annual caucus on February 3rd, 2018, at the Lynnfield Town Hall. Delegates and Alternates were elected to represent Lynnfield Democrats at the State Convention. They will be attending the Massachusetts Democratic Party Endorsing Convention at the DCU Center in Worcester on June 1st and 2nd, 2018.

Representatives from campaigns of elected officials who are running for re-election arrived early to get signatures from the attendees. These signatures are required in order for candidates to appear on the ballot.

Brendan Crighton, Democratic Primary candidate for State Senate from the 3rd Essex District, visited with the group before the Caucus began. He asked for members to vote on February 6th in the Primary, and then March 6th for the Special Election. The 3rd Essex District Senate Seat includes Lynn, Lynnfield, Swampscott, Marblehead, Nahant and Saugus. Crighton is the current State Representative from the 11th Essex District, which includes parts of Lynn and Nahant.

The next meeting of the Lynnfield Democratic Town Committee will be held on March 21st, 2018, at the Al Merritt Center, 600 Market Street Lynnfield. Our guest speaker for that evening will be Jimmy Tingle, Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor.
