Lynnfield High School to Host Financial Literacy Fair

Lynnfield High School to Host Financial Literacy Fair

Lynnfield High School seniors will have an opportunity to learn how to budget and manage money at the first annual Invest in Life Fair on Thursday, March 9th at Lynnfield High School.

The interactive financial education opportunity is designed to guide students in making sound financial decisions as they prepare for life beyond graduation. The fair is presented through a partnership between The Savings Bank, Lynnfield Rotary and Lynnfield High School and is partially funded by a $4,000 grant from the State Treasurer’s Office

During the fair, the students will be asked to select an occupation and will be provided with a salary and credit score. Working within those parameters, the students will then meet with advisors to make choices regarding housing, transportation, and other important lifestyle decisions. The students will meet one-on-one with a financial advisor from the Lynnfield business community who will assess their choices and discuss the results and alternatives.
