Lynnfield Play 'Tarzan' To Be Featured On Fox 25 This Morning
Upcoming production by Lynnfield Community Schools runs Feb. 1-3 at the middle school.
This coming weekend's production of "Tarzan" by Lynnfield Community Schools is expected to be featured on a Fox 25 morning news segment around 9 a.m. Monday morning, this website learned on Sunday.
Fox 25 has been running a segment called "Behind The Musical" which highlights various high school musical productions around the state. The segments are done with Broadway in Boston and the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild.
Jenny Norwood explained in an email that the LCS production was recommended by the Mass. Educational Theater Guild in part because of the wide ranges of age groups (grades 2-12) that are participating in Tarzan.
The morning news broadcast is expected to include eight cast members doing a medley of songs from the show, as well as interviews with show directors Becky Petrin and Stephen Bloom, who is also the music director at Lynnfield Middle School.
