Lynnfield to Receive Over $400k in Chapter 90 Funding
The funds will help Lynnfield make local road improvements.

LYNNFIELD, MA—Lynnfield's roads are in for a makeover, as the town has secured over $400,000 in Chapter 90 funding.
According to a release from the office of Senator Thomas M. McGee (D-Lynn) and Representative Bradley H. Jones (R-North Reading), Lynnfield was awarded $423,192 in Chapter 90 fudning. The funds will go towards local road repairs including resurfacing, preliminary engineering, roadside drainage, structures, sidewalks, traffic control, and street lighting for Fiscal Year 2017.
“The Chapter 90 program represents a true partnership and an ongoing commitment between state and local government,” said Representative Jones. “This funding will enable Lynnfield to take full advantage of the upcoming construction season and allow the town to address some of its most pressing infrastructure needs.”

The Chapter 90 funding is a 100 percent reimbursible program, and will help the town focus on infrastructure and maintenance improvements, according to the release.
