Lynnfield Resident Named To Position In AG's Office

A Lynnfield resident has been named as the head of the policy and government division at the office of Mass. Attorney General Martha Coakley.

According to a recent announcement from Coakley’s office, Deputy Chief of Staff Britte McBride will run the previously mentioned division. McBride is a graduate of Holy Cross and Suffolk Law School.

In her new capacity, McBride is replacing Jennifer Stark, who was appointed as business and labor bureau chief in Coakley's office.

McBride previously has served as Senior Policy Advisor in P&G and Director of Open Government, said the announcement. As Deputy, she has been a key advisor to the Attorney General while overseeing the office’s implementation of the HomeCorps program, leading efforts to support veterans, and developing initiatives around mental health care. McBride also was instrumental in advocating for the landmark loan modification law that was passed in July.

McBride will continue to oversee these initiatives while managing the P&G team.

“Britte is a natural choice to lead the Policy and Government Division,” said Attorney General Coakley.  “Throughout her tenure, she has made many valuable contributions to the office and will provide tremendous leadership in her new role. I am confident that she will do an outstanding job.”
