Marla Snyder, CRCM, Promoted to Senior Vice President, Compliance and Operations at The Savings Bank

Marla Snyder, CRCM, former Vice President – Compliance Officer at The Savings Bank, was recently promoted to Senior Vice President, Compliance and Operations. Senior Vice President Snyder, who will oversee compliance, deposit operations and loan operations/servicing in her new position, has also been appointed as the Bank’s CRA Officer. The promotion was among a number of key promotions and appointments recently announced by the Board of Directors of The Savings Bank. Marla joined The Savings Bank in January 2007. She was promoted to Vice President, Compliance Officer in 2011 and was named to Elder Protective Services Commission for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts by former Governor Deval L. Patrick in 2013. Before joining The Savings Bank, Marla was previously associated with Merrimack Valley Federal Credit Union in North Andover as Assistant Vice President – Compliance. She has been in the financial services industry for more than 38 years. A graduate of Tufts University, Marla received her MBA from Northeastern University. She received her Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers of the American Bankers Association. In addition to her responsibilities as Compliance Officer for The Savings Bank, Marla is actively involved as the Bank’s representative in the Bank Reporting Project, Preventing Financial Exploitation of Elders, a partnership between Mass Bankers, the Executive Office of Elder Affairs, the Division of Banks, and the Attorney General’s Office, in addition to serving on the Commonwealth’s Elder Protective Services Commission. “On behalf of the Board of Directors of The Savings Bank, I am pleased to announce the promotion of Marla Snyder as Senior Vice President, Compliance and Operations, as well as the Bank’s Compliance Officer,” Brian D.
