McQueen and Doyle Earn School Committee Seats

Gioioso wins two-year term on the Planning Board.

Lynnfield voters gave Philip McQueen and Timothy Doyle three-year terms on the School Committee Tuesday. Just 1,253 residents cast votes out of 9,061 registered voters, a percentage of 13.83.

McQueen led the way with 839 votes with Doyle second at 675 votes. Kimberlee Kossover Hansen was third with 574 votes. In the race for a two-year term on the Planning Board, John Gioioso was first with 808 votes, well ahead of second-place finisher David Gromko with 255 votes.

Other positions on the ballot were unopposed, with predictable results. Chris Barrett was re-elected to the Board of Selectmen with 966 votes. Donald Garrity earned a three-year term on the Board of Assessors with 873 votes. Janine Rodrigues-Saldanha, with 820 votes, and Russell Boekenkroeger, with 691, won three-year terms as Library Trustees. Arthur Bourque won a one-year term as Moderator with 890 votes. Katherine Flaws will serve five years on the Planning Board after getting 854 votes. James Wilkie won a five-year term on the Housing Authority with 854 votes.
