Mite Elite Pick Up Where They Left Off

Game Two vs Agawam

The SLYH Mite Elite team continued their hustling style of play with another great performance against a strong Agawam team. Captain, Dylan Damiani got them fired up with a quote that this team took to heart, “Hockey’s a funny game. You have to prove yourself every shift, every game. It’s not up to anybody else. You have to take pride in yourself. -Paul Coffey This group lived up to each up these points every time they touched the ice. Coming out a little slow and finding themselves down 1-0, the Stars buckled down and turned this one into an impressive victory. In net, Anthony Grabau came up big, robbing Agawam of multiple chances, including a spectacular glove save that had the crowd in awe. This is a team full of players with good hockey sense. They find ways to move the puck to their open guy and then finish strong. Sometimes a player will dig a little deeper to make that extra pass or break up a play. Jack Carpenter was that guy today. Jack is fast becoming a complete hockey player as evidenced by his overall play today. For his 100% effort on every shift, Jack earned the well deserved game puck. So another strong game goes in the books for the SLYH Mite Elites. They look to continue their effort with back to back games vs Melrose and Stoneham next weekend, after an intensive week of practice of course!
