The night after the Grammy Awards, Lynnfield Middle School Music Director Stephen Bloom attended the taping of The Night That Changed America with his wife, Tanya. The show will be telecast on CBS Television this Sunday, February 9th at 8:00 p.m., exactly fifty years to the date and time of the Beatles’ first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show. The program will feature contemporary artists performing Beatles music along with special appearances by Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.
Mr. Bloom teaches his “Beatlemania” course to 8th Grade LMS students. The original curriculum deals with the music and cultural significance of the Beatles as well as other influential groups and artists of the 1960’s.
