Haverhill and Andover, MA (August 13, 2021) – The pandemic may have slowed them down, but it didn’t stop a group of 19 Straumann US employees from graduating from the Advanced Manufacturing Leader Training program. The program is one of many courses and trainings offered through NECC’s Center for Corporate and Community Education. Topics include Performance Management, Team Building, LEAN Manufacturing and Conflict Resolution among others.

Straumann first ran this program in 2019 with the goal of providing soft skills leadership training. “During the program there was a great bonding with colleagues. We became more comfortable with each other – like family,” says graduate Jose Ortiz-Lucas.

This session at Straumann started in January of 2020, but had to be suspended due to Covid in March. Courses resumed in November of 2020 and the employees finally graduated just last month. Graduate Mariah Wentzell says “The Group Leader position I’m in now at Straumann is my first management position. This program helped me feel more confident in my leadership role at Straumann.”
