Pet First Aid & CPR Class

Smart Paws Pet Safety & Training to offer Pet First Aid CPR Class in Boston. Earn American Red Cross Certification!

Smart Paws Pet Safety & Training will be offering courses this Fall on Cat and Dog First Aid & CPR class for pet owners and pet care professionals at Boston Red Dog Pet Resort & Spa (Free Parking On-site).

*The schedule for the remainder of 2015 in Boston is:

  • Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 11am-1pm
  • Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 11am-1pm
  • Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 11am-1pm

Would you know what to do if your cat or dog choked or suddenly stopped breathing? Do you have an emergency plan for your pet in the event you and your family need to evacuate your home? This hands-on training course will teach you how to respond to emergencies and provide basic first aid until you can get your pet to a veterinarian. Using specially designed training cat and dog manikins, participants will receive training on how to aid a choking animal, administer rescue breathing if your pet stops breathing, and how to perform CPR if your pet has no pulse or heartbeat. Information on emergency first aid kits and emergency planning will be provided. Students successfully completing this course will receive a certificate from the American Red Cross.
