Lynnfield Library hosted Passover party with Lappin Foundation this week.

The following was provided by the Robert I. Lappin Foundation:
What do a hen, a spider and French toast have to do with Passover? They all had starring roles in books of the PJ Library Passover Story Hour, recently held at Lynnfield Public Library. Dana Rimer of Danvers and her children Lucy (4) and Milo (15 months) were amongst the group of close to 30 people who attended the PJ Library Passover Story Hours sponsored by the Robert I. Lappin Charitable Foundation and hosted by the Lynnfield Public Library.
“Lucy loved hearing the vocabulary of Passover embedded into cute and engaging stories. Her favorite part was singing Dayenu and the Four Questions with the group, and I loved seeing the smile on her face as she joined in,” said Dana Rimer. Rimer added that the story hour is a wonderful way to engage with Jewish literature and traditions in a kid-friendly, welcoming, and casual environment.

“The PJ Library Holiday Story Hours are fun and educational,” said Deborah Coltin, executive director of the Foundation. “The kids are adorable, the stories are engaging, and parents, grandparents and caregivers are grateful for the Foundation’s outreach, especially around Jewish holidays,” added Coltin.
The Foundation and Temple Shalom of Salem invite the community to the next PJ Library Story Hour in celebration of Yom Ha-atzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day, at a birthday party for Israel on Friday, April 27, 4-5 p.m., at Temple Shalom, 287 Lafayette St., Salem. Children will celebrate with stories, crafts, songs, and of course, a birthday cake for Israel’s 64th birthday.
