Presidential Primary Today In Mass.

Lynnfield voters cast ballots at LHS between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Lynnfield residents will be casting presidental primary ballots today at the high school between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Ballots will be available for those wishing to vote in the Republican, Democratic and Green Party primaries.

The Republican ballot has 34 names of residents seeking election to the town committee. Joyce Lofmark and Amy Carnevale, both of Marblehead, are running for Republican state committee woman. Stephen Zykofsky of Lynn and Carlos Hernandez of Saugus are running for Republican state committee man.

Presidential candidates listed on the GOP ballot are: Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, Jon Huntsman, Michelle Bachman and Newt Gingrich.

The Democratic ballot has 17 names seeking election to the town committee. Laura Walsh of Lynn is running for state committee woman. Robert Fennell of Lynn is running for state committee man. Barack Obama is the lone candidate at the presidential level.

The Green Party ballot features Jill Stein, Kent Mesplay, and Harley Mikkelson as presidential candidates. There are 10 open slots for a Green Party town committee, but no candidates are listed. There are also no names listed for candidates for state committee man and woman.
