Reedy Meadow Offering Various Golf Programs
Last week, Lynnfield Patch stopped by Reedy Meadow Golf Course to see what's going on there this spring.
For many people in the area, springtime means dragging out the golf clubs and hitting one or more of several popular local courses.
With that in mind, I stopped by Reedy Meadow Golf Course last week to learn a bit more about what they're doing this spring.
Ed Whalley, a PGA pro and Lynnfield native who grew up playing on the area's courses, was teaching a group of youngsters some fundamentals of the game, as shown in this video clip.
Reedy Meadow offers various golf classes for men, women and children into the summer. Complete information about their classes, programs and more can be viewed here on their website.
Manager Don Lyons reported last week that Reedy Meadow is also starting a Ladies Golf League for players of all levels that would play Wednesday mornings at 9 a.m. starting on Wednesday, June 5.
Also, the second Blue and Gold Golf Tournament, open to all Lynnfield residents, is June 15 at 2 p.m. - Father's Day weekend, with a one adult/one child scramble format. Call 781-334-9877 for more information about either.
