Registration Underway for 9th Annual Reid's Ride
28-mile bike ride from Lynnfield to Gloucester raises funds to fight cancer in memory of former town resident Reid Sacco.

Registration is now underway for the 9th annual Reid’s Ride, which takes place this Sunday, July 21, 2013.
The 28-mile ride from Lynnfield to Gloucester helps raise money to fight cancers that often strike adolescents and young adults. The event is in memory of Reid Sacco, a 2003 Lynnfield High School graduate who died of cancer at age 20. Last year's event raised about $150,000, with more than 300 riders participating.
Last year was particularly significant for Reid's Ride, since it marked the establishment of the Reid R. Sacco Adolescent & Young Adult Clinic for Cancer and Blood Diseases at the Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
Reid's Ride participants leave the Lynnfield High School parking lot at 7 a.m. that morning and they make their way to Gloucester's Stagefort Park by way of Middleton, Danvers, Beverly and Manchester.
