The Danvers Zoning Board of Appeals approved two special permits Monday that will allow the Netflix production to shoot scenes inside two houses on Ledgewood Drive. The scenes are for a film called "Hubie Halloween," and will be shot sometime between July 8 and August 30. Producers did not release the exact dates in an effort to curb traffic from curiosity-seekers.

Sandler has filmed several movies in the region, most notably "Grown Ups" and its sequel, both of which made use of several well-known North Shore locations.

Casting calls for "Hubie Halloween" describe the film as a "good-natured but eccentric community volunteer finds himself at the center of a real murder case on Halloween night." The synopsis of the film on the application to Danvers officials reads "Despite his devotion to his hometown of Salem, Massachusetts (and its legendary Halloween celebration), Hubie Dubois is a figure of mockery for kids and adults alike. But this year, something really is going bump in the night, and it's up to Hubie to save Halloween."
