Lynnfield Man Critically Injured In Main St. Crash
Two-car crash sends two people to hospital, one with life-threatening injuries.
Two people were seriously injured in a horrific two-car crash on Main Street near the middle school Friday afternoon around 4 p.m.
One man, a Lynnfield resident, was critically injured in the crash. Fire Chief Tom Bogart told Lynnfield Patch at the scene that the man, a middle-aged father, had suffered traumatic arrest in the crash. He was taken by Lynnfield's Rescue 1 to Union Hospital in Lynn and then to Mass. General Hospital in critical condition.
The female motorist, also a Lynnfield resident, was transported with serious but non-life threatening injuries to Beverly Hospital by a Middleton ambulance.

Town safety personnel had initially requested a life flight for the man, but it was not flying due to the overcast conditions.
Police shut down Main Street from the town common to Hutchins Circle as fire personnel extricated the crash victims and prepared them for transport to the hospital.
