St. Paul's Organ Concert Series Wraps Up Sunday

Mark Engelhardt of Grace Episcopal Church to play selections by Bach and more.

The final performance in a series of organ concerts to introduce and celebrate the new organ at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 127 Summer St. in Lynnfield, will take place Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 4 p.m.

The concert will feature Mark Engelhardt playing a program titled, “Toccatas and Other Mysteries: How to Survive an Organ Recital.”  He will present works by J.S. Bach, Eugène Gigout, François Couperin, Charles Marie Widor, and James Woodman. The concert is open to the public, and a suggested $10 free-will offering will be collected.  A reception will follow the concert.

“Our concert series has been a joy for us at St. Paul’s, and for everyone in the audiences,” said Rev. Michael Dangelo, Rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.  “We’re so thrilled to have Mark share his talents on our new organ at the close of our series.  We look forward to offering more opportunities for sharing the blessing of organ music to the community in the future.”
