Tower Day School Organizes Pajama Drive for A Bed for Every Child

Tower Day Parents' Forum organized pajama drive to collect pajamas for A Bed for Every Child

The Tower Day Parents' Forum organizes an annual pajama drive to collect pajamas for children in need. This year the pajama drive was earmarked to help A Bed for Every Child, an initiative of the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless. “While most people take clean comfy pajamas for granted, many children go to bed each night without these basic necessities. We wanted to support A Bed for Every Child by providing sweet dreams to children who really need them,” says Betsy Ragalevsky, Tower Day Parents' Forum President. Ragalevsky reported that the group was thrilled with the success of its pajama drive this year. “We collected 118 pairs of children's pajamas. That is significantly more than last year when we collected 87 pairs of pajamas. It is fantastic to be a part of a community that values giving. It is an important quality that we want to instill in our children from a young age. The kids love seeing the basket fill up every day during the drive and knowing they are helping people. They celebrate with a pajama day at the end of the week when all of the students wear pajamas to school,” says Ragalevsky. “We are truly grateful for the pajamas which will be given to children through A Bed for Every Child. The pajamas will remind the children and their families of the warmth of your generous community,” says Robyn Frost, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Coalition for the homeless.
