The Lynnfield Board of Assessors wishes to announce that it has completed its state-mandated Revaluation/Reassessment of all real and personal properties. This is required by Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40 section 56 to achieve full and fair cash value for property assessments. The values have been reviewed by the Bureau of Local Assessment of the Massachusetts Department of Revenue (DOR).
The Town of Lynnfield has received preliminary certification of the values from the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, Bureau of Local Assessments for all classes of property for fiscal year 2022.

In accordance with the DOR requirements, the valuations have been established for all properties as of January 1, 2021. The sales information from 01/01/2019-12/31/2020 were used for all real estate classes, all sales were analyzed to determine the valuations as of the assessment date.
In meeting the requirements of the DOR public disclosure period the assessments are available for review by the public beginning on Wednesday September 1, 2021 at the Board of Assessors’ office via hard copy print-outs and reports listing the new values. The best method to view the new assessed values is through the town’s website @ www.town.lynnfield.ma.us. Public disclosure will end on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 4:30 PM.
Anyone with questions regarding Fiscal Year 2022 values is encouraged to contact the Assessors Office for a review of their property.
The Lynnfield Assessing Department personnel will be available from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday and 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday during the public disclosure time period to answer questions related to the revaluation.
