Town Planning To Mark 10 Year Anniversary of 9/11
Kathy Bailey, widow of Flight 175 victim Garnet "Ace" Bailey, expected to speak at memorial in Sept.

The town has begun planning a day of observance to mark the tenth anniversary of the September 11th attacks.
At Monday night's selectmen's meeting, Selectman Bob MacKendrick reported that the observance is currently expected to begin the morning of September 11th at 8:30 a.m. with the lowering of the flag to half mast in front of the town fire and police stations.
From there, organizers are laying plans for the names of the approximately 2,752 people who died that day to be read on the town common.

Donations From The Public Welcome
MacKendrick indicated that the Lynnfield Rotary Club has already donated some money to get the process underway. Town residents and others are also welcome to make donations - which for now can be dropped off at either town hall or the Centre Congregational Church.
