
The Lynnfield boys' basketball team, fresh off its impressive opening round win over Stoneham, will face Whittier Sunday in the quarterfinals of the Division 3 North tournament.
The Pioneers improved to 17-4 with the 69-41 win over Stoneham and will face a Whittier team coming off an 86-49 win over Northeast Regional Tuesday night. Whittier was led in scoring by Jonathan Pryor's 21 points and Jamison Santos' 18. Whittier (16-5), the No. 5 seed, entered the tournament coming off two straight losses but had no trouble with Commonwealth Conference rival Northeast.
