Kowloon Tiki On The Beach Opens In Revere

REVERE, MA — A new waterfront restaurant is officially open on Revere Beach.

Kowloon Tiki on the Beach opened at 21 Revere Beach Blvd. this month, bringing the iconic Kowloon brand from Saugus to the city's beachfront.

After a week of soft-opening service, the restaurant held its official opening ceremony on Thursday, June 18.

The restaurant is a partnership between Kowloon owner Bobby Wong and restaurateurs John Karlino and Melissa Ford. It marks the first major expansion for the Kowloon brand, which has operated on Route 1 in Saugus for more than 70 years.

"It's official, Kowloon Tiki on the Beach is open," Mayor Patrick M. O'Keefe's office said in a statement Thursday. "Located at 21 Revere Beach Boulevard, we can't wait for you to enjoy their delicious menu all summer long. Congratulations to the Kowloon team."

The restaurant also shared its excitement on social media.

"Drinks are flowing and food is being served down at the Kowloon Tiki Bar. Come on in," the business wrote in a post announcing the opening. "We can't wait for you to meet our amazing staff, try our delicious cocktails, and enjoy your favorite Kowloon food."

The restaurant features indoor and outdoor seating overlooking Revere Beach. The menu includes popular Kowloon items such as Saugus wings, boneless spare ribs, pork fried rice, and General Gau chicken.

The tiki bar also offers seafood dishes, sushi, specialty cocktails, and other menu items designed for the beachfront setting.

The opening comes as the Wong family prepares for the future redevelopment of the original Kowloon property in Saugus. Plans call for a smaller version of the restaurant to remain on the Route 1 site as part of a larger mixed-use project.

According to the restaurant's website, Kowloon Tiki on the Beach is open seven days per week from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday and 12 p.m.to 11 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
