MALDEN, MA — A driver fled the scene after a crash left a passenger injured early Tuesday morning, according to the Massachusetts State Police.
Troopers responded to the intersection of Fellsway and Maple Street at approximately 5:38 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, for a report of a single-vehicle crash.
State Police told Patch that the driver left an injured woman in the vehicle and could not be located.
The truck struck a tree in the front yard of a home, narrowly missing a delivery driver who had reached the front porch moments before the crash.
A resident of the home said the crash was the sixth incident they had witnessed in nearly three decades of living there. Previous incidents included vehicles striking trees and a car overturning in front of the house.
