Eastman Street Crash Takes Life of 8-Month-Old

Mansfield experienced more tragedy Wednesday afternoon when an 8-month-old child lost their life in a two-car crash on Eastman Street.

Police received several 911 calls for the accident around 3:38 p.m. After police and fire crews responded, a mother and her child were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital before the child received a MedFlight to Boston Children’s Hospital for treatment for possible internal injuries.

Due to the injuries from the crash, the child did not survive according to Mansfield police.

The crash remains under investigation by Mansfield police officers, detectives as well as state troopers from the Massachusetts State Police Collision Investigation Unit and Bristol County CPAC.
