$82.8 Million Budget Approved by Mansfield Town Meeting
The budget calls for a 3.53 increase in municipal spending and a 3 percent hike in school spending.

The town’s $82.8 million budget was approved by voters Tuesday night at the Annual Town Meeting.
The budget calls for a 3.53 percent increase in municipal spending, bringing the total up to $37.2 million.
In the school budget, voters gave their endorsement to a $45.6 million budget, an increase of 3 percent over last year.

Other votes from town meeting according to the Sun Chronicle include:
- Approval of multiple capital improvement projects, including $125,000 for the Memorial Hall roof; $87,000 for a new police vehicle and other equipment; and $100,000 for three new fire vehicles, and $2.4 million for public works equipment
- An article requiring dogs to be leashed in public spaces was rejected.
