97 Percent Of Mansfield Has Power Again

A small percentage of homes are still in the dark, but most of them were expected to have power by Monday night.

From Mansfield Municipal Electric Department Director Joe Sollecito:

As of Monday morning, Mansfield Electric has restored 97% of our customers affected by the storm with a very small remaining portion remaining out of power from the following streets/area:

  • Jewell Street (about 39)
  • Lakeview Avenue/Road (about 23)
  • Gilbert Street, near Norton line (about 19)
  • Creeden Street (about three)

While the work remaining in these areas are great, we anticipate service will be restored Monday.

Most of the previously identified services that were down have been restored already. However, there will be a certain number of individual homes throughout our Town who have a greatly damaged service. These customers will first need to get an electrician to repair the weather head and service drop (and then inspected by Wire Inspector) before they can reenergize.
