• Kingston Man Pleads Guilty to 2023 Mansfield Murder (wbsm.com) — A Kingston man has been sentenced to life in prison, with possible parole after 22 years, for the 2023 fatal shooting of 23-year-old Samuel Waters inside a Mansfield home on West Church Street. Prosecutors say Mansfield Police quickly located the gunman nearby and recovered the weapon, and the case involved prior firearms offenses and mental health history. The plea ends a major local murder case.
   

• Help plan future bike and pedestrian paths in southeastern Mass. (heraldnews.com) — Mansfield residents are invited to apply for a new regional Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee that will help shape walking and biking plans across southeastern Massachusetts. The group will meet quarterly and seeks diverse voices, especially people who rely on walking, biking, or transit. Applications are due November 16 and can be submitted online, with accommodations available on request.
