MANSFIELD, MA — An important Narcan training session is coming to Mansfield in November.
The Mansfield Substance Abuse Task Force, in collaboration with Bristol Norfolk Public Health Partners and the Mansfield Elks, will host the training at Mansfield Town Hall, located at 6 Park Row, on Nov. 10.
The training comes amid concerns about overdoses in public bathrooms. Privacy and isolation can delay emergency response times, according to a Facebook post by the town.
During the training, residents will learn how to recognize the signs of an overdose.
Attendees will also receive hands-on training in administering Narcan, responding to emergencies and helping keep the community safe.
The training will run from 10 a.m. to noon.
It is free and open to the public, and no registration is required.
