Arrest Made in Rockland Federal Credit Union Bank Robbery

On Tuesday Sept. 2 the Rockland Federal Credit Union was robbed by a female that passed a note demanding money. The female had disguised herself by placing a medical patch over her right eye and sun glasses as well as several article of distinctive clothing. She was last seen on foot walking down Henry Street away from the bank.

Investigators at the scene of the robbery believed the female to be subject that had recently been to court on open criminal charges. As a result of media exposure of the image of the bank robbery suspect the Mansfield Police Department followed up many different leads provided by other law enforcement agencies as well as private citizens. As a result of an extensive investigation by the members of the Mansfield Police Detective Division a search warrant was being sought at 42 West Church Street in Mansfield. Officers were posted at the residence to secure the residence prior to the issuance of the search warrant. During that time one of the residents of the home attempted to enter the first floor apartment by entering the property through the backyard and removing an air conditioner in the window. Officer Trudell and Detective Wright who were posted to secure the residence placed Michelle Dinnocenzo under for being a disorderly person. The investigation continued throughout the day.

A search warrant was issued for 42 West Church Street units 1 & 2.The search warrant was executed by the members of the Mansfield Police Department Detective Division along with Officer Trudell. Recovered during the search warrant were articles of clothing that appeared in the bank surveillance video during the robbery of the Rockland Federal Credit Union. Also recovered was United States currency consistent with the type of bills stolen from the bank. Other items of interest were also seized from the residence.

The Mansfield Police Department would like to thank those members of the public that came forward with information or eye witness accounts of the robbery.

Michelle Dinnocenzo was placed under arrest and charged with Unarmed Robbery, Larceny over $250 and Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License. She was held on $50,000 cash bail. She will be arraigned on Sept. 4 at Attleboro District Court.
