June 5

1:46 p.m. - An intoxicated person was reported at Stop and Shop on Chauncy Street. A 65-year-old from Mansfield was placed in protective custody.

  • Two people were taken into protective custody.

4:11 p.m. - A manager at the Shaw’s Erin's Center on West Street told police that two men attempted to pass fake money. She also reported that they did so at their locations in Easton and Sharon. Video footage showed three men purchasing items with $100 bills and returning them in the next town over for cash.


June 10

12:23 a.m. - During a traffic stop on East Street, a 36-year-old from Boston received a summons for operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

2:18 a.m. - Officers received a 911 call for a report of a vehicle going slow under the bridge near the train station. The caller also started that it looked like the operator was asleep. Police found the operator near the intersection of Chauncy Street and Highland Avenue/ The driver, Matthew Scutt, 29, of Hyde Park, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor and operating a vehicle negligently so as to endanger.
