Average Mansfield Teacher Salaries Beat State Average

MANSFIELD, MA - The average salary of a school teacher in Mansfield during the 2015-15 is among the highest in the state, according to data from the state.

Earlier this year, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education released a full list of average annual salaries of public educators in each community. According to the study, the 300 public school teachers in Mansfield on average made $80,248 during the last school year, the 68th highest average in the state and about $3,800 more than the statewide average of $76,442.

The Carlisle School District has the highest average wage at $100,803.

323 school districts reported data to the state. Benefits such as summers off and pensions, negotiated between individual school districts and unions, were not included in the data.

Average wages were determined by dividing each district's total salaries and stipends by the number of full-time teachers employed during the school year.
