Bench to Memorialize Mansfield Teen

Mansfield, MA — A deceased Qualters Middle School student will be memorialized by his school.

Thursday night, the Mansfield School Committee approved plans for the Shane Farrell memorial bench. The bench will be placed at Alumni Field near the Michaela Smith bench.

Farrell was killed last year after he fell off his bike and was struck by a school bus on East Street. He was 13 years old. His classmates are planning a fundraiser to cover the cost of the bench.
