Bids for Mansfield Public Safety-DPW Complex Under Estimates
Three bids were received for the project.

MANSFIELD, MA — Bids for Mansfield's new public safety-DPW complex were lower than expected, town officials said.
The three bids submitted came in at $27.4 million, $28.4 million, and the low of $27.2 million from Boston Building and Bridge Corp. The low bid is about $600,000-700,000 lower than expected, according to the Sun Chronicle.
Mike Ahern, who is the project manager, said the costs include the new traffic light near the complex.

Including $9.5 million in soft costs and $1.8 million reserved in contingencies, the total cost of the project is about $35 million, the amount approved at Town Meeting.
The project is expected to take two years and eight months to finish.
