Police Identify Woman Killed Near Mansfield Train Tracks

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

MANSFIELD, MA — A person was found dead near the Mansfield train station late Tuesday night, police said.

At about 11:18 p.m., police received a call from MBTA police reporting a person who was possibly struck by a train. Police and firefighters located the victim near the southbound track about one-eighth of a mile north of the train station. The person, identified as 52-year-old Mansfield resident Roxane Wiskow according to the Sun Chronicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death is under investigation by Mansfield fire, Mansfield police, and MBTA police. The identity of the victim has not been released.

No further information will be released pending identification of the victim and notification of family, police said.
