Boston Man Charged with Injuring Mansfield Man in Drunken Driving Crash

Mansfield, MA — A Mansfield resident was taken to the hospital after a single-car crash that was the result of drunk driving, police said.

Sean P. Hartford, 39, of South Boston, was arraigned Tuesday in Attleboro District Court. He pleaded innocent to drunken driving, driving to endanger and failing to drive in marked lanes, according to the Sun Chronicle.

Sunday night, police responded to a report of a vehicle that crashed into a pole on Perkins Avenue near Chauncy Street.

A passenger in the car, a 49-year-old woman from Mansfield, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital.

Police say that Hartford's blood-alcohol content level was 0.12. The legal limit is 0.08.

Hartfort is due back in court on Aug. 2.
