Boston MedFlight Starts Mansfield Operation
The medical flight company started working out of the local airport this week.

MANSFIELD, MA — The Mansfield Municipal Airport has a new tenant responsible for flying people to the hospital.
Boston MedFlight announced this week that they started operating out of the local airport Monday. Flights out of the base will have a focus of bringing more service to the South Coast, Cape Cod and Islands.
"We have seen increased demand for our services, and by opening this base we are continuing to
strive to better serve the most critically ill and injured patients in the region," Maura Hughes, CEO of Boston MedFlight, said in a release from earlier this year. "The Mansfield base will facilitate faster response times, particularly in more diffuse areas such as the Cape, Islands, and South Coast, which will further improve patient care."
