Mansfield Mothers' Club Supports Relay For Life
Today we'd like to respectfully fill you in on a cause that some of our members feel passionately about -- the Relay For Life.

If you’re like almost every one of us, you have tons of things (both little and big) demanding your attention on any given day. Today we'd like to respectfully fill you in on a cause that some of our members feel passionately about -- the Relay For Life.
WHO AND WHAT: The Relay For Life (www.relayforlife.org) is the largest non-profit fundraiser in the world. It benefits The American Cancer Society (http://www.cancer.org).
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to Celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, Remember loved ones lost, and Fight Back against the disease. At Relay, teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length.
For nearly 100 years, the American Cancer Society has worked relentlessly to save lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. Together with millions of our supporters worldwide, we’re helping people stay well, helping people get well, finding cures, and fighting back against cancer. This year, we have a “13 in ‘13” Goal to get 13 team members to raise an average of $100 each, and we’ll be entered to win a huge party pack! There are also other incentives, swag and events we can fill you in on once you join the team.

- Wishing us well! :)
WHY: In our opinion, cancer is insidious, comes in many forms and affects the lives of many of our Club members and their families. Learn more about the group of more than 100 diseases generally known as cencer here: http://www.cancer.org/cancer/cancerbasics/index
