When Kirley Masonry and Stove Emporium launched its new website just over a month ago, green energy has appeared as a recurring theme. We believe in a cleaner, greener way of living. We want to share ways to go green with you. Many of our blogs include simple ways to go green. Today we want to share with you Massachusetts’ latest Energy Rebate program that begins July 28, 2011.
Massachusetts is offering a rebate program for air conditioners and refrigerators. New ENERGY STAR® appliances reduce energy consumption and costs, helping reduce ozone pollution in the environment. Consumers will be saving money on their purchase and on lower energy bills, putting savings right back into their wallets.
What’s the catch? To receive the rebate, consumers must be replacing their older air conditioner or refrigerator with a newer, more efficient ENERGY STAR® model.

The program offers a rebate of $50 for air conditioners and $150 for refrigerators. But hurry, with a limit on funding, rebate money could run out real fast. Funds ran out in less than 3 hours when a similar program, Great Appliance Exchange, was offered in Massachusetts last year. So hurry up and save!
