What NOT to Forget to Pack on Spring Break
While students rarely think of anything other than partying while on spring break, make sure they know this!

Yes, it is mid-March which means one thing to college students- SPRING BREAK! Not only is this the time for these late teens and early twentysomethings to hit the beach with friends and party until the sun comes up, it is usually the last time they have to blow off steam before the stress of finals begins. Therefore, along with the necessary items, such as bathing suits, sun tan lotion, and enough clothes to last them the week, the one thing that they SHOULD NOT FORGET is the proper insurance documents.
Even though college students think that they are invincible, it is important for them to know that they are not- especially when alcohol, prolonged sun exposure, and the ocean are close by. Therefore, along with the basic travel insurance policy, there are 2 other insurance policies that are believed to be equally important as well.
If a medical emergency occurs (especially if the student is out of the country!) without the proper insurance documents, there is a high likelihood that they will not be treated. If the party-goer ventures outside of the US border, consider taking out a short-term international medical insurance policy, which sometimes costs as little as $95, in order to make sure they are fully covered.

Finally, while this is the last thing that a parent of a college student wants to hear, a typical spring breaker drinks 10 alcoholic beverages a day! That being said, alcohol is the number 1 cause of law-breaking among this age group during this time of year. Also, these students have lowered inhibitions due to the immense amount of alcohol consumed, meaning that they might get themselves into more trouble than even THEY imagined. Therefore, if legal insurance is purchased, any of the expenses associated with an arrest or future court cases/hearings, as well as legal fees will be mostly covered with this policy.
