Bridge Repairs and Heavy Traffic Slows Down Evening Commute

Traffic was slowly crawling down Route 95 Tuesday night as heavy traffic and bridgework is caused delays down the highways.

In Attleboro, emergency repair work took place along the bridge deck on Route 95 Southbound at North Avenue (between Exit 4 and 5) according to MassDOT.

Due to the bridge work, I-95 at North Avenue in Attleboro was be restricted to two travel lanes at the bridge.

Work was expected to last through midnight.

The repairs caused traffic on 95 South to backup all the way to Sharon.

Elsewhere, traffic was slowly making it’s way down 93 South before speeding up and slowing down again on 95 South according to WBZ Traffic.

It was not until past 8:00 p.m. that traffic began to clear up.
