Car Plows Through Mansfield Convenient Store
The car drove halfway through the Mansfield store's front window.
MANSFIELD, MA — A car crashed into a convenient store on Tuesday afternoon.
At 1:48 p.m., emergency personnel arrived at West Mansfield Variety store on 428 Elm St. and found a car halfway through the store's front window. No serious injuries were reported. The only person who suffered minor injuries was a store employee, but the worker refused medical attention, fire officials said. The driver was not injured, and the cause of the crash was deemed accidental.
Columbia Gas and the town's building and electrical inspectors came and inspected the store. According to fire officials, the store may be able to reopen on Wednesday.
