Coaches vs. Cancer Basketball Classic
Competitive basketball tournament being held at Mansfield SportsPlex (MPLEX) to raise money for American Cancer Society.
For the fourth straight year, Coaches vs. Cancer, a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches, is hosting an amazing weekend of basketball which will raise thousands of dollars in the fight against cancer!
The tournament runs Saturday, April 2, 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Sunday, April 3, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., at six sites around the state, including the Mansfield SportsPlex (MPLEX), 31 Oxford Road (right off Rte. 106), Mansfield.
Many of the region’s most competitive programs have been in on the fight against cancer as Mass Rivals, BABC, eXpressions Elite, NE Playaz, and Boston Bobcats have all claimed Coaches vs. Cancer crowns in the past few years.

Volunteers from Relay For Life of Mansfield will have a table with luminaria bags and snacks for sale, and a fun take-a-shot basketball game. Proceeds at the table go directly to Relay For Life of Mansfield.

Be sure, also, to be on the lookout for “The Wall of Hope” honoring cancer survivors and coaches who are in on the action for the “Suits and Sneakers” weekend.
Champions of this tournament will be awarded commemorative Coaches vs. Cancer Pink Championship T-Shirts. The teams that help us raise the most for Cancer Research will also be honored by the American Cancer Society during festivities at “Super Saturday Night” conducted annually during the Zero Gravity National FINALS weekend in June.
