Friday February 6th at 7 pm, Sharon Unitarian Church

Sharon resident Fred Bramhall, wine consultant since 1976, will take us on a tour of Central and Northern Italy. He’ll focus on how the wines and cuisine of a region evolved together in a rich and symbiotic way. Each region has a distinctive climate, soil, history and culture. Learn why Chianti and Tuscan beef are well-suited for each other. What is Chianti anyway? And what makes some Chiantis Classico?

You don’t have to be a wine lover to find something interesting in this conversation. Though, it might help if you like food and want to understand how cultures develop.

Fred has a wide knowledge of the wine industry and all the variables: like the soil, the type and age of the vine, the climate, the producer and the importer. Fred has worked both the wholesale and retail sides of the wine business and has written extensively on the subject.
