Kyle Aucoin, 22, of Norton, was charged with drunken driving and cocaine possession.
MANSFIELD, MA — A Norfolk County corrections officer was arrested in Mansfield Sunday morning after drunkenly driving and being caught with cocaine, police said. Kyle Aucoin, 22, of Norton, was charged with drunken driving, cocaine possession, driving to endanger, driving a motor vehicle with an open container of alcohol, and failing to drive within marked lanes. Aucoin pleaded not guilty Monday in Attleboro District Court.
Around 3:40 a.m., Aucoin's car went off the ramp from Route 140 to Interstate 495 south and ended up in the woods, police told The Sun Chronicle. Police said they found Aucoin asleep in his car. A breathalyzer test showed he was two times over the legal limit, police said. An open beer bottle was found in his car and police said they also found cocaine in one of his pockets.
Aucoin was released on personal recognizance and scheduled to appear in court next month.
