Crash Blocks Pratt Street Traffic

MANSFIELD, MA — The Pratt Street portion of Route 106 was closed for about a half-hour Wednesday afternoon for a car crash.

At about 1:40 p.m., Mansfield Dispatch received several 911 calls for an accident on Pratt Street between East Street. and St. Mary's Church. At the scene, first responders found that the road was blocked due to the position of the damaged vehicle. A preliminary investigation indicated that one of the vehicles turned into oncoming traffic.

One person was evaluated at the scene for minor injuries.

A citation was issued to the operator of the offending vehicle for failing to yield right of way to oncoming traffic, according to police.
