Police Log: A Disturbance at the Train Station, Second Shoplifting Offense, and More

November 30

5:24 p.m. - Two 911 calls were received by police reporting a male party, possibly intoxicated, causing a disturbance by the train station. The caller reported that the male, wearing a black t-shirt and khakis, was yelling at passers-by and hitting cars.

When police arrived, a 21-year-old male from Norton was placed in protective custody.

December 3

12:22 p.m. - Police responded to a rollover accident on West Street. The driver was extracted from the vehicle and denied having any injuries. A summons was issued to the 22-year-old male from Providence, RI for operating a motor vehicle negligently so as to endanger.

4:21 p.m. - Police received a report of a male shoplifting inside Kohl’s at Mansfield Crossing. When police responded, Michael Belcher, 33 of Mansfield was arrested and charged with shoplifting by asportation, second offense, He was released on $290 bail.

December 4

9:58 p.m. - During a motor vehicle stop on Pratt Street, Sean Almeida, 29, of Noron was arrested with a warrant.

November 5

5:17 p.m. - A summons was issued at the intersection of School Street and Coral Street to a 28-year-old from Norton for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop/yield.

6:38 p.m. - A summons was issued at the intersection of North Main Street and Crocker Street to a 54-year-old male from Mansfield for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle/expired license.
