Person Struck By Car, Seriously Injured On East Street
One person was taken to the hospital with potentially serious injuries, police said.

MANSFIELD, MA — A person was struck by a vehicle and suffered potentially serious injuries Saturday afternoon, police said.
Shortly after 1:15 p.m., Mansfield police received several 911 calls reporting a crash on Branch Street. A preliminary investigation indicated that a landscape crew had parked a truck and trailer on the shoulder of the southbound lane. The crew had a reflective cone placed in the roadway behind the trailer. A red Toyota Camry sedan was travelling south on Branch Street and for unknown reason, drove through the cone and straight into the landscape trailer causing the trailer to detach from the truck sending the truck 35 feet down the roadway, according to the Mansfield Police Department.
A worker, standing on the trailer retrieving a lawnmower, suffered potentially serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital.
