Electrical Worker's Union Moving to Mansfield

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers​ Local 104 ​recently purchased property at 900 South Main St.

MANSFIELD, MA — A local union that represents over 1,200 workers in New England will soon call Mansfield home.

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 104 recently purchased property at 900 South Main St. and plan on moving there during the summer of 2018, pending town approval and permitting.

"We are very excited and look forward to becoming an active neighbor in this great community," Hugh Boyd, assistant business manager and treasurer of Local Union 104 said in an email.

The union is currently located in Walpole with two additional offices in Lewiston and Barrington, New Hampshire.

While the move is down the road, the union is already taking part in the community. They plan on making a large donation of canned goods and non-perishable goods to Our Daily Bread on West Street.

Local 104 represents 1,200 men and women across New England including equipment operators, customer service representatives, power equipment technicians, financial assistants, engineers, accountants, business managers, and members of the Mansfield Municipal Electric Department.
